Sebeka at Pine River-Backus

The Sebeka Trojans snapped a six-game losing streak to the Pine River-Backus Tigers with a 3-1 win in Section 5A action.
Sebeka used an early 10-2 run in the first set to take control and cruised 25-12.
Set two was much more of what was anticipated, with 11 ties and six lead changes before Pine River-Backus claimed a 25-23 win.
Set three was similar to set one as the Trojans lead wire to wire 25-15.
It appeared that set four was going to follow suit with set three as Sebeka built a ten-point lead at 16-6. Pine River-Backus chipped away, but Sebeka was able to get to match point at 24-18. Then the Tigers rattled off five straight points to put the pressure on before the Trojans closed it out 25-23.
Sebeka wins for the first time since 2016 in the series, improving to 13-7 (5-0 in 5A section games) and PRB falls to 13-11 (4-2).
Jaylin Lillquist had 22 assists, six kills and two aces for the Trojans. Kassidy Bristow had a match-high 17 kills with two blocks for the Tigers.
