Section 6 9-man Cass Lake-Bena at Clearbrook-Gonvick

Clearbrook, MN — The game was never in question on Tuesday night as the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears defeated the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers 48-0 to advance to the Section 6 9-Man Football Semi-Finals.

The Bears scored on every offensive possession except their final one of the contest. They even had a 70 yard scoop and score from defensive lineman Jake Stoskopf. Alex Churness ran for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns. Freshman Quarterback Carver Kroulik had a 65 yard touchdown pass to Nathan Weems on the very first play of the game. Tuesday night’s game was Kroulik’s first ever varsity start after their first two quarterbacks went down with injuries against Fertile-Beltrami.

Clearbrook-Gonvick will play Park Christian this Saturday afternoon back at Thorbeck field in Clearbrook with kickoff set for 2 p.m.
