Section 6 9-man Fosston at Blackduck

The Fosston Greyhounds turned the ball over six times as they fell at Blackduck in the Section 6 9-man quarterfinals. Brennan Korteum and Bryce Frenzel combined for 393 yards rushing as the Drakes defeated the Fosston Greyhounds 36-20 at Blackduck on Tuesday night. Korteum only threw three passes but scored three touchdowns on runs of 73, 52 and 24 yards and ran for 196 yards. Frenzel carried the ball 27 times for 197 yards as the Drakes improve to 6-3 on the season. Aiden Wolfe had seven receptions for 134 yards for Fosston as the Greyhounds end their season at 5-4. The Greyhounds led 6-0 after the first quarter and Blackduck led 8-6 at halftime. Sophomore quarterback Jakob Rudie ran for two touchdowns and connected with Ryne Duppong on a 14 yards touchdown pass for Fosston. Rudie threw for 184 yards and a touchdown for the Greyhounds. Brennan Korteum also had a big night on defense as he intercepted four passes for the Drakes as they will now face the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons in the semifinals on Saturday, October 28th (2:00 pm on 96.7 FM).
