Justin Courneya scored 49 points as the Win-E-Mac Patriots Ada Vance’s in the Section 8A Tournament. Courneya hit five 3 pointers and also pulled down nine rebounds for the Patriots. Joe Courneya added 18 points for Win-E-Mac as the Patriots won their seventh straight game and improved to 21-6 overall. Ryan Kangas had 15 rebounds for Win-E-Mac and was honored before the game for recently recording his 1,000th career rebound. Ryan Bodensteiner led the Bears with 13 points as the Bears end their season at 7-21. It was the third time this season that the Patriots defeated the Bears. Win-E-Mac will now face the Red Lake Warriors in the quarterfinals on Saturday (5:15 pm on 96.7 FM). Win-E-Mac defeated Red Lake 89-75 at Red Lake on February 10th.
