Section 8A-E Fosston at Mahnomen-Waubun

Recap

After a back and forth first half that saw 6 lead changes the Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds turned up the defense in the 2nd half and would pull away for a 64-43 win over the Fosston Greyhounds in the East Sub Section Quarter Finals.  Both teams struggled with turnovers at times, but the Thunderbirds were able limit the Greyhounds shot selection forcing Fosston to take tough shots.  Mahnomen Waubun used good floor vision to find open players for easy layups and would go on for the win.  Mahnomen Waubun is now 10-17 and will play Saturday at Ralph Engelstad Arena while Fosston ends their season at 10-16 graduating 4 seniors.
