Section 8A Red Lake County vs Mahnomen-Waubun

The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds played one of their best games of the season to advance in the Section 8A playoffs with a 54-14 win over Red Lake County.  The Thunderbirds were solid on both sides of the ball, with a dominant running game that racked up 391 yards and a defense that kept the Rebels in check all afternoon long, add in a kickoff returned for a touchdown, and the Thunderbirds will play for their 6th straight Section 8A title.  Red Lake County had a spark early with a kickoff returned for a touchdown, but from their they would struggle to move the ball.  Mahnomen Waubun is now 10-0 while Red Lake County ends their season at 7-3.
