11A State Quarterfinals

The Kindred Vikings controlled both sides of the ball in defeating the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks 39-20 to advance to the State Semifinals for the fourth straight season. Offensively the Vikings relied on a methodical run game that consistently ate up yards and scored the first six possessions they held the ball. All while the Viking defense held the Skyhawks, who averaged over 300 yards of offense per game on the season, to just 29 yards in the first half and only allowed 131 total yards in the game. The Vikings built a 39-0 lead after their first drive of the second half before Shiloh Christian, aided by turnovers by the Vikings offensive reserves, were able to find the endzone three times in the fourth quarter. Shiloh Christian ends the year with a 8-3 overall record with Kindred improving to 11-0 and winners of 23 consecutive games. They will advance to the state Semifinals to play Central Cass, the Vikings defeated the Squirrels 48-7 earlier this season.
