BBB Shiloh Christian 76, Thompson 55

Third-ranked Shiloh Christian broke open a tight game in the second half as the Skyhawks defeated fifth-ranked Thompson 76-55 Saturday afternoon in Thompson.

The game was tied 18-all after the first quarter and Shiloh Christian led 33-31 at halftime.  The Skyhawks started the third quarter on a 8-0 run and were never caught.

Wyatt Westin scored 21 points, including 4 three point baskets, to lead Shiloh Christian to its ninth consecutive win and a 15-3 overall record.  Carson Quam added 16 points for the Skyhawks, with Dawson Davis scoring 15 and Caden Englund 10.

Gavin Krogstad led Thompson (12-5) with 15 points and Karter Peterson scored 12.

Shiloh Christian forced 17 Thompson turnovers, while committing just 5 themselves.

Thompson won the rebounding battle 37-20.  At the free throw line, Thompson made 2 of 3 and Shiloh Christian 9 of 13.

Thompson’s next game is Thursday at East Grand Forks.  Shiloh Christian hosts Dickinson Trinity Tuesday night in Bismarck.
