The Pequot Lakes Patriots opened up the 2026 season with a 3-0 road victory at St. Cloud Cathedral. Brooklin Hanson spread the wealth to the tune of 30 assists in the 25-14, 25-21, 25-21 sweep. Hansen added three aces, two kills and two blocks while Mia Trumpold led the attack with eleven kills. Lauren Nelson pitched in eight kills, Kendall Nelson tallied seven kills and Kate Arellano served up three aces.

The Patriots finished each set strong, including the last four points of game three to complete the sweep. Cathedral falls to 3-2 on the year while the Patriots begin 1-0.
