GBB Stephen-Argyle at Climax-Fisher

Ayla Woinarowicz scored 20 points and helped Stephen-Argyle dominate the rebounding total as the Storm defeated Climax-Fisher 38-27 Tuesday night in Fisher.

While both teams struggled to score, Stephen-Argyle took a 17-10 halftime lead as Woinarowicz scored 10 of her points.  Climax-Fisher got to within 24-20 with 6:43 to play in the second half, but could never get into the lead.

Lucy Paulsrud and Courtney Brault scored 7 points apiece for Climax-Fisher (3-10).

Stephen-Argyle won the rebounding battle 42-32 with 17 offensive boards to 9 for the Knights.

The Storm was 4 of 10 at the foul line, with Climax-Fisher 5 of 10.  Stephen-Argyle had 15 turnovers to Climax-Fisher’s 13.

Climax-Fisher travels to Fosston Friday night.  Stephen-Argyle (5-7) plays at Red Lake County Central on Thursday.
