VB Fosston 3 Stephen-Argyle 0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-20)

The Fosston Greyhounds played a strong match as they swept the Stephen-Argyle Storm Tuesday night in Fosston. The Greyhounds never trailed in the first or second set and overcame an early 4-0 deficit in the third set. Lexi Mahlen led Fosston with 13 kills as the Greyhounds improve to 5-4 overall. Sofia Rue added 10 kills and Teagan Duppong 7 kills for the Greyhounds. Taylinn Spicer had 4 service aces and Brielle Duppong 3 aces at the line for Fosston. Emily Marquis and Ayla Woinarowicz each had 3 kills for Stephen-Argyle as the Storm fall to 3-5 overall. Both teams were coming off an appearance at the Tournament of Roses this past Saturday in Ada. Fosston won the “B” Squad match 2-0 and Fosston won the “C” Squad match 2-0. The Greyhounds are off until Tuesday, September 17th when they travel to Roseau (1480-AM/99.7 FM). Stephen-Argyle will return to action on Thursday, September 12th when they travel to the Northern Freeze.
