Fosston, MN — Fosston Greyhound junior Brielle Duppong reached a major milestone Tuesday night, recording her 1,000th career assist as the Greyhounds swept the Stephen‑Argyle Storm 3-0.
Fosston found itself in an early hole in the opening set, trailing 8-1 before slowly chipping away at the deficit. Stephen‑Argyle held the lead deep into the frame, but the Greyhounds finally broke through at 19–18 and never trailed again. Freshman Emma Howard powered the comeback with five kills in the set, helping Fosston close out a 25-20 win.
Set two began with the Storm taking the first two points, but Fosston quickly seized control at 4-3 and dominated from there. The Greyhounds never looked back, rolling to a 25-13 victory. In the second set Junior Brielle Duppong recorded her 1,000th career assist.
Fosston wasted no time asserting itself in the third set, surging to an 8-1 lead and maintaining complete control throughout. The Greyhounds cruised to another 25-13 win to secure the sweep and improve to 6-3 on the season.
Fosston now turns its attention to a key Pine to Prairie Conference matchup Thursday at home against Park Christian. Stephen‑Argyle drops to 3–6 and will travel to Kittson County Central next Tuesday.
