Tartan coach  and Ada-Borup alum Xavier Munoz ( class of 2012) brought his class 4A Tartan girls basketball team to Ada-Borup-West Friday night for the second part of a double header with the Cougar guys playing Cass Lake Bena in the early game.   This girls game saw the Lady Cougars of Ada-Borup-West score the first six points of the game, and led all but one possession during the night to win their third straight game this week and improve to 9-12 overall.   Tartan is now 9-11.   There were four ties in the first half with the Lady Cougars leading 27-22 at the break.  Another quick start to begin the second half saw the Cougars build a 41-28 lead with 11:58 remaining.  Tartan then surged with an 8-0 en-route to a 20-6 run and a 48-47 lead with 4:38 to play.  Ada-Borup-West was fouled on the next possession and made two free throws for a 49-48 lead on their way to the 60-51 victory.  The Cougars shot 30 of 36 free throws in the game.  It was the second consecutive night the Cougars attempted over 30 free throws in a game.
