Northern Cass vs Valley City – Division A Region 1 Girls Basketball Tournament Championship

FARGO, ND – Valley City won the Division A Region 1 girls basketball championship with a 55-47 win over Northern Cass on Thursday afternoon.

Katie Burchill finished with a game-high 29 points for the Hi-Liners. Valley City (21-2 overall) heads to their second straight state tournament at the Minot State Dome. The quarterfinals are set for Thursday, March 6.

Carly Rider scored a game-high 17 points and Haidyn Crockett added 11 points. Crockett is 15 points from tying the all-time scoring record in program history. Crockett’s older sister Halle Crockett has the all-time record with 2,175 points. Northern Cass heads to a State Qualifier on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mayville State against the winner of Grafton/Thompson.
