Thompson vs Valley City – Division A State Girls Basketball Tournament

MINOT, ND – Valley City won their first girls basketball championship in program history with a 67-44 win over Thompson on Saturday night from the Minot State Dome.

State Tournament MVP Katie Burchill finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Hi-Liners finished the season on a 16-game winning streak and a 24-2 overall record.

Kya Hurst paced Thompson with 11 points. The Tommies finished as runner up for the second time in three years and go 22-6 overall on the season.

Haidyn Crockett from Northern Cass was named Senior Athlete of the Year in State A Girls Basketball.
