Thompson beats Carrington 60-38 to advance to State

The Thompson Tommies played a near-perfect game on Thursday night to capture the Region 2A championship. Their defense held Carrington to 18 points and no made threes in the first half. The Tommies made their first 12 free throws and extended the lead to 18 in the first half. Kya Hurst and Addison Sage carried the bulk on offense, getting named to the All-Region Tournament team along with teammate Claire Kolling. Sage was also named Senior Athlete of the Year in girls Division A basketball.

Thompson advances to state and Carrington will play Valley City on Saturday at 3pm in the State Qualifier round.
