Thief River Falls vs Ada-Borup-West

Thief River Falls started a three game road trip this week with a victory at Ada-Borup-West Tuesday night, 52-44.  The Prowlers improved to 12-3.  The Cougars slip to 8-5 with the loss, it’s their fourth in the last five games.  It was a game in which Ada-Borup-West seemed in control throughout..    leading 27-19 at halftime ( 8-0 run to close out the first half),  scored a quick 3-point field goal to open the second half and led 35-22 with just over twelve minutes remaining.  That lead disappeared as the Cougars had turnovers and the Prowlers found their shooting range with three 3-point field goals and three other field goals as part of a 15-2 surge and tied the game at 37-37 with 5:13 to play.  The teams exchanged leads with Ada-Borup-West Morgan Smart making a 3-point field goal and a 44-42 lead with 2:43 to play.   For the Cougars, it was dejavu— more turnovers and the Prowlers scored the final ten points for the victory.
