Thompson vs Hillsboro-Central Valley

#7 Thompson was able to make some backdoor cuts and attack the basket, and took advantage of a physical game, defeating the Hillsboro-Central Valley Burros on the road on Saturday.  The Tommies jumped to a 7-0 lead, then had their lead cut to just three points before the end of the first quarter.  The Burros had their only lead with 5 minutes to play in the second quarter at 16-15, but it was short lived, and they trailed 27-20 at halftime.  The third quarter was physical and saw the lead climb to double digits by the Tommies, and a late Technical foul on the Burros toward the end of the quarter sparked a 6-0 run to begin the fourth quarter, but the Tommies answered with a run of their own, and the Burros would not mount a comeback, falling to 6-5 with the loss, 56-37 to Thompson.
