Chase Haffley allowed 4 hits while striking out 9 on the mound and walked 4 times as a hitter as Hillsboro/Central Valley defeated Thompson 11-1 in 5 innings Tuesday in Hillsboro.

The Burros (3-0, 3-0 in Class B Region 2) scored in each inning, taking advantage of 9 walks by Thompson pitchers.  Tyson Leshuk was 2 for 4 with one rbi for HCV, with Alexander Dufner adding 2 doubles in 3 at bats with 2 rbi.

Thompson (2-2, 1-1 in Region 2) didn’t score until the fifth inning when Kaden Loiland’s sacrifice fly brought in Joe Taylor.

Jeromy Tyce took the loss for Thompson.  He pitched 2 innings, allowing 4 hits, 3 runs (all earned), 3 walks and 3 strikeouts.

HCV plays at MayPort-CG Wednesday afternoon.  Thompson hosts Maple River on Thursday.
