HUNTER, ND – Valley City clinched the #1 seed in the Division A Region 1 girls basketball tournament with a 70-47 win over Northern Cass on Thursday night.
Katie Burchill scored 32 points and Dacota Potratz added 12 points for the Hi-Liners. Valley City ends the regular-season on Friday against Carrington.
Haidyn Crockett scored 22 points to pace Northern Cass. The Jaguars will be the #6 seed and play #3 Central Cass in the Region 1 quarterfinals on Monday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Valley City earned a bye into the semifinals with the #1 seed.
