Wadena-Deer Creek at Hawley

Wadena Deer Creek played patient on offense, and found a way to get past the Hawley Nuggets on the road Thursday, completing the 11 over 6 seed upset, defeating Hawley 57-43 in the Section 8AA playoffs.  Wadena Deer Creek led by just three points at halftime, but played very patient offense and stretched their lead to 15 points in the second half.  Hawley struggled on offense, and missed a number of high percentage shots, as their season ends 14-10, and Wolverines advance to the second round to take on Pelican Rapids on Saturday.
