The Wahpeton Huskies took an 11-point lead in the 4th quarter for their largest lead of the contest, but Kole Buhr and Kash Lorenz hit back-to-back threes to trim the lead to 5.

Under 1min to go the Huskies led 50-48, but Central Cass’ Easton Holland pickpocketed the ball and got fouled in transition, sinking both free throws to tie the game.

The Squirrels would blitz the Huskies with 7 made free throws on 8 attempts in the extra period to complete the comeback with a final of 61-57.

Huskies Senior Brayden Steffens eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in his career in the 4th quarter.

Central Cass improves to 5-1 (2-0), Wahpeton falls to 3-2 (0-1).
