BBB  Wahpeton 66, Northern Cass 63 (OT)

Brayden Steffens scored with 15.5 seconds to play in overtime to give Wahpeton a 66-63 victory over Northern Cass in boys high school basketball Tuesday night at Northern Cass.

Caleb Enger’s basket with 7.4 seconds left in regulation allowed Northern Cass to tie the game and force overtime.  Then a Hudson Rietschel free throw early in OT gave the Jaguars their first lead of the game.

Treyton Mauch led Wahpeton with 26 points, including four three point baskets, as the Huskies won their fourth straight game.  Steffens added 21 points and Jayden King 15 as Wahpeton improved to 11-4 overall and 6-3 in Class A Region 1.

Landon Moser and Trey Husar had 16 apiece for Northern Cass, with Rietschel and Enger scoring ten apiece.  The Jaguars are now 13-4 overall and 3-2 in Region 1 play.

Northern Cass has another Region 1 game Friday night at Valley City,  Wahpeton hosts Oak Grove on Friday.
