Haidyn Crockett scored 26 points as Northern Cass defeated Wahpeton 64-59 in girls basketball Tuesday night at Northern Cass.

Josie Jensen scored 16 of her 18 points in the second half as the Jaguars improved to 13-6 overall and 6-4 in Class A Region 1 play.

Wahpeton had rallied from a ten point second quarter deficit to go ahead 34-32 in the third quarter before Northern Cass went on a 9-5 run to go in front 41-39 after three quarters and hold that lead to the end.

Wahpeton had 16 points from Amyah Max, 15 from Halle Miller and 13 from Scout Woods, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Lady Huskies from extending their three game winning streak.  Wahpeton is now 9-9 overall and 7-4 in Region 1 play.

Friday night, Northern Cass travels to Thompson.  Saturday, Wahpeton hosts Devils Lake.
