The Fosston Greyhounds closed their regular season with a 39-28 win over Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Thursday night in Fosston. Lexi Mahlen led Fosston with 14 points as the Greyhounds end the regular season at 25-2: The Greyhounds bounced back after their home loss to Cass Lake-Bena on Tuesday. Brynlea Mahlen added 9 points and Tessa Manecke had 8 points and 12 rebounds for Fosston. Hannah Peterson led the Ponies with 10 points as they drop to 15-10 overall. The Greyhounds never trailed in the game and led 20-13 at halftime. Warren-Alvarado-Oslo will end their regular season on Friday when they host Badger/Greenbush-Middle River in Warren. W-A-O won the “B” Squad game over Fosston 48-27.
