Grygla, MN — The Goodridge/Grygla Chargers defeated the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies on Tuesday night 47-6 to advance into the Semi-Finals of the Section 8 9-Man Football Playoffs.

Goodridge/Grygla controlled the entire game. The Chargers scored a touchdown on five of their six first half possessions while WAO punted twice, threw an interception and turned the ball over on downs during their four first half drives. Goodridge/Grygla led 35-0 at halftime.

In the second half the Chargers would punch two more touchdowns in. While the Ponies found the endzone late in the game to put points on the board. The Ponies scored a total of six points in each of their last four games of the season as Goodridge/Grygla won 47-6.

With the win Goodridge/Grygla is now 7-2 on the year and will play at the #2 Seeded Stephen-Argyle Storm on Saturday in the Section Quarterfinals. In the regular season matchup, Stephen-Argyle edged Goodridge/Grygla 6-0.
