VB Warroad at Bagley

The Bagley Flyers pulled out a close first set and went on to sweep the Warroad Warriors 3-0 (25-23, 25-19 & 25-15) Monday night in Bagley. The win lifted the Flyers overall record to 11-11. Mazie Hoie led the Flyer attack with 11 kills while MaKalyn Hoie and Kaley Thompson each recorded 7 kills for Bagley. Attlee Larson led Warroad with 7 kills as the Warriors fall to 5-20 overall. Bagley Senior Kaitlyn Kumpala recorded her 1,000th career assist early in the match with Elexis Soderstrom getting the kill off the assist. Bagley won the “B” Squad match 2-0 (25-22 & 25-14) while Warroad won the “C” Squad match 2-1 (25-20, 28-30 & 15-12).Three Bagley seniors (Dani Skarison, Kyra Lynch & Kaitlyn Kumpala) were honored before the match. Bagley will close out the regular season on Tuesday when they travel to Park Christian while Warroad will close out their regular season on Tuesday when they host Thief River Falls.
