Win-E-Mac at Ada-Borup-West

Braylon Hamre had 3 hits and a run batted in and scored 3 times as Win-E-Mac defeated Ada-Borup-West 7-1 Monday at Tony Sipe Field in Ada.

The Patriots (7-2) never trailed as they scored a first inning run on Bergen Howard’s rbi single.  They added two more in the third inning on Hamre’s single that scored Owen Strom on a close play at the plate.  While things were getting untangled at home plate, Hamre took off for third and scored on an errant throw to make it 3-0.

Ada-Borup-West got on the board in the third inning on a run-scoring single by Grant Kuball.

Win-E-Mac put the game on ice with 3 runs in the sixth inning.  Clay Below brought in 2 with a bases loaded double.  Then following a walk, Jayden Haugen singled home another run to make it 6-1.  The Patriots added one more run on Kolten Schow’s (skow) rbi triple to make the final 7-1.

Righthander Hayden Johnson got the win for Win-E-Mac, going 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 4 hits, one run, 4 walks and 4 strikeouts.   Austin McCraven took the loss for ABW (6-2).  He pitched a complete game, allowing 9 hits, 7 runs (5 earned), 4 walks (one intentional) and 7 strikeouts.

Ada-Borup-West travels to Badger-Greenbush-Middle River Tuesday afternoon, while Win-E-Mac plays at Fertile-Beltrami.
