Bagley, MN — The Bagley Flyers beat the Win E Mac Patriots 76-75 on Friday night in a game that came down to the wire.

Win E Mac was able to take control of the scoreboard early and often coming out firing and taking their largest lead of the night 17-6. Credit to Bagley though as from that point the Flyers would go on a 12-0 run to take their first lead of the game 18-17. From there, Win E Mac would take the lead but it was never a comfortable lead as the Flyers were hot on their heels headed into halftime down 37-35. Win E Mac would start the second half much like they did in the first half, pushing their lead to 47-39. Bagley would once again crawl their way back into it to tie the game 53-53 and their first lead in a long while at 57-55 moments later. From that point, Bagley was able to stretch their lead to as much as much as nine points with just minutes to go. Win E Mac never went away forcing the Flyers into turnovers and converting at the other end to make it 76-75 with just 6.6 seconds remaining. The Patriots got the final possession and had to go three quarters of the court for the win. A long baseball pass off the initial inbound to Braylon Hamre set them up for a game winning look on the right baseline but Hamre couldn’t get it to fall and the Flyers would hang on by one point to win 76-75.

With the win, it is the first time Bagley has beat Win E Mac since 2019. The Flyers are now 2-3 on the season and will host Thief River Falls next Tuesday. Win E Mac falls to 1-4 and will play tomorrow, Saturday, at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls to play the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies at 3 p.m. (1480 AM/99.7 FM KKCQ)
