GBB Win-E-Mac at Fertile-Beltrami

The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons pulled down 50 rebounds as they defeated the Win-E-Mac Patriots 40-36 Monday night at Fertile. Madison Stueness, Bailey Iverson and Tori Erickson all had double digit rebound numbers for the Falcons. The first half had five ties and the score was tied at 16-16 at halftime. Fertile-Beltrami took the lead for good at 21-20 but the Patriots would cut the deficit to four at 36-32. That’s as close as Win-E-Mac would get as they fall to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Kiersten Anderson led the Patriots with 11 points. Katrina Hitchen led the Falcons with 12 points and Tori Erickson added 10 points as Fertile-Beltrami improves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Fertile-Beltrami shot 15 of 36 at the free throw line while Win-E-Mac was 13 of 22 at the stripe. Fertile-Beltrami won the “B” Squad game 52-33.
