The Fosston Greyhounds snapped a 3 match losing streak with the 3-0 (25-21, 25-11 & 25-19) win over the Win-E-Mac Patriots in Fosston. Emma Howard had 7 service aces for Fosston and the Greyhounds had 15 aces overall at the line. Ava Hayes had 9 kills while Hatty Quam and Brielle Duppong each recorded 7 kills for the Greyhounds as they improve to 6-8 overall and 2-3 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Hannah Fonder had four service aces for Fosston. Lauren Kaupang led the Win-E-Mac attack with 4 kills as the Patriots fall to 2-11 overall and 1-3 in the conference. The Greyhounds closed the second set on a 13-4 run. Fosston is off until Thursday, October 2nd when they host the Bagley Flyers (96.7 FM) in Fosston’s homecoming match. The Patriots will play at home against Crookston on Monday, September 29th and will then play at Bagley on Tuesday, September 30th (1480-AM/99.7 FM). Fosston won the “B” Squad match 2-1 and Fosston also won the “C” Squad match 2-0. The 1975 Fosston Greyhound Volleyball team was honored prior to the match as they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first Fosston Volleyball team to make it to the state tournament.
