Win-E-Mac at Mahnomen-Waubun

The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds struggled with turnovers, but were able to make some shots and also force some turnovers to hang on for a 51-47 win over the WEM Patriots.  The first half the Thunderbirds defense would limit the Patriots shots while the Thunderbirds would score in transition and would lead at the half 21-11.  The 2nd half would see the Patriots offense come to life thanks to the inside presence of Lauren Kaupang who would heat up fro the floor.  The Thunderbirds double digit lead would shrink as the Patriots would cut a 13 point lead to 4, but missed shots and free throws would doom the Patriots final push and the THunderbirds would come away with the win.  Mahnomen Waubun is now 3-2 while WEM falls to 1-3.
