Fertile, MN — It didn’t take long for the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons to build a lead and go wire to wire en route to their ninth win in a row in their 60-29 win over the Win E Mac Patriots on Thursday night.

Josie Iverson scored the first eight points of the game to go up 8-0 early and it was all Fertile-Beltrami from there. While the first half may have not been the cleanest half of basketball that the Falcons have ever played, they were able to put together a 13-2 run in the final 6:15 to take a 29-8 lead into the locker room. One of the main factors the Falcons were able to run away with this one was their rebounding numbers. The Falcons for the game out rebounded the Patriots 42-17. Fertile-Beltrami won 60-29 to improve to 11-2 and will play on Friday night at Sacred Heart. The loss for Win E Mac was their 10th loss in a row and they will be at RLCC on Monday the 16th next.
