Win-E-Mac vs. Clearbrook-Gonvick

Erskine, MN — The Win E Mac Patriots collected 12 runs on 7 hits Tuesday evening to beat the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears 12-2 in the Section 8A Baseball Playoffs.

The Patriots took an early 6-0 lead after plating three runs in each of the first two innings. Clearbrook-Gonvick had a tough time versus the Win E Mac as the Bears struck out eight times versus three different Win E Mac Pitches. Clearbrook-Gonvick would scratch two runs across in the third inning to make it a 6-2 deficit but they would only collect one more hit the rest of the game while Win E Mac would score six more times to win 12-2.

Win E Mac will now play at 10 am on Thursday versus Mahnomen/Waubun in the next round of the section tournament. The game will be played at Bemidji State University.
