Fall Gourds & Pumpkins Watercolor Class Comes to Bagley

Local community members looking to embrace autumn through art will have a hands-on opportunity this weekend. The Bagley Area Arts Collaborative is hosting a beginner-friendly workshop, “Line & Wash Watercolor: Fall Gourds & Pumpkins,” on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 9 Central Street W in Bagley. Led by instructor Lily Hadrava, the event invites artists of all skill levels to celebrate the season by painting a vibrant array of fall produce.

Throughout the three-hour class, participants will explore essential watercolor techniques, including wet-on-wet, dry brush, layering, glazing, and splatter painting before using ink and transparent paints to bring their autumn scene to life. No prior watercolor experience is necessary, and step-by-step instruction will be provided in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

Admission is $35 per person, which covers all necessary painting supplies, though attendees are encouraged to bring their own snack or lunch. Class size is capped at 15 participants to ensure personalized guidance. Those interested can register online at bagleyarts.org. Funding for the activity is provided in part by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Region 2 Arts Council and the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
