Fargo Jets win State A Legion Title over Casselton Haymakers

The Fargo Jets had a long and rememberable Monday in Casselton en route to a North Dakota State A Legion Tournament championship.

The Jets topped Casselton in their first of three games 5-3, resuming a contest that was suspended after rain on Sunday night.

Fargo upended Devils Lake 9-7 in the second game to punch their ticket to the championship. Harper Schultz went 2-4 with a solo home run and and 2 RBI for the Jets.

Casselton advanced to the championship with their 3-0 mark to begin the state tournament in a double elimination format.

Jack Joyce gave Fargo a 4-3 lead after a three-run homer in the bottom of the 4th inning as the Jets would go on to win the State A championship 6-3. Eli Emineth was named tournament MVP for Fargo.
