Fertile-Beltrami Teacher Charged With Two Sex Crimes

A music teacher with Fertile-Beltrami Public Schools is in custody in Todd County on sex charges involving a minor.  The Todd County Sheriff’s Office inmate roster for Monday shows 30-year-old Richard John Schrom is in custody for third degree criminal sexual conduct.  He was formally charged Monday with one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of third degree criminal sexual conduct.  According to court documents, the alleged incident happened in late July near the City of Grey Eagle. According to the Fertile-Beltrami School District, Schrom is on administrative leave.
