Fertile City Council Meets
FERTILE, MN—The Fair Meadow Nursing Home was brought up again at Monday night’s Fertile City Council meeting. The nursing home, which is owned by the City of Fertile, has been on the minds of residents since Angie Leiting’s dismissal as nursing home administrator in June. Audience members asked the Council who would make up the Board of Directors that a new administrator would report to. Later it was learned that there are people on the Fair Meadow Advisory Board that don’t know they’re on that board. No names of advisory board members were mentioned. R&J News asked Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden how the search for a new Fair Meadow administrator is going.
Audience members also asked the Council what they would do if there would be a staffing shortage at Fair Meadow. Liden was asked if the nursing home is short staffed.
In other business at Monday’s Fertile City Council meeting, the Council voted to no longer post draft minutes of Council meetings on the city’s website.
