Fertile Community Center Improvements

Last week, R&J News told you about improvements that will be made to the Fertile Community Center.  About $820,000 in general obligation bonds were approved to pay for the renovation. A person who attended last Thursday’s public hearing asked if it wouldn’t be easier to build a new community center.  Here’s the answer from Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden.

Liden says there will not be an increase in Fertile’s tax levy to pay for the bonds.  The City has budgeted money to pay for the bonds..and it will take 15 years to pay off the bonds.
