FIRST Robotics: More than just robots 

The 2026 FIRST Robotics Season is in full swing, and did you know that there’s a lot more to robotics than just building and driving robots? MN Robotics Coaches Association President and Nevis Robotics mentor Olaf Netteberg says a big section of his team does nothing with the robot and focuses on Impact, which is similar to a community outreach program. 

That being said, Netteberg says there are also a lot of other roles on the team that deal with things like game strategy and programming.
