Flags To Fly At Half Staff Thursday
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff Thursday at all state buildings in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day. Governor Walz released a statement saying “(W)e honor the peace officers who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our communities, and we thank the 10,000 Minnesota officers who serve in over 400 law enforcement agencies across the state. Peace officers exemplify resilience, courage, and bravery, and we lower our flags in recognition of their unwavering dedication and sacrifice.”
Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are also encouraged to lower their flags.
