Flooding Damage
Now that flood waters have receded in western Minnesota, emergency managers are adding up what it will cost to repair the damage. Norman County Emergency Manager Garry Johanson has an estimate for Norman County.
Meanwhile, Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl has done the same for his county.
At the moment, payment for flood damage would come from the State of Minnesota, rather than FEMA. For FEMA to get involved, there would have to be $10 million in damage throughout the state. Johanson says the statewide damage total hasn’t reached that threshold yet.
