Former National Cattlemen’s Beef Association President not confident in passing of a new farm bill
It’s February and the House of Representatives have made little to no progress on passing a new farm bill. Former National Cattlemen’s Beef Association President Don Schiefelbein says he is not confident in a new farm bill being passed this year due to it being an election year.
Schiefelbein explained what he as a cattle producer would like to see in a new farm bill once progress eventually starts being made.
Not much progress on anything is expected to be made in the House of Representatives as House Republicans hold a narrow majority 221 to 213 majority. Focus on border Security, Ukraine, Israel, and in party fighting are also expected to hold up other spending bills.
