Fosston Arts Center Hosts “Peddlers Cure-Alls To Secret Liquor Halls”
FOSSTON, MN—There’s a connection between the Prohibition era and an old Fosston business that will be the subject of a presentation Sunday night, February 19 at the Fosston Arts Center. It’s called “Peddlers’ Cure-Alls to Secret Liquor Halls.” Bonnie Stewart with the East Polk Heritage Center has details.
The talk will give details about how the 18th Amendment, the Volstad Act—better known as Prohibition—led to many changes in America.
Stewart says the presentation will begin at 6pm Sunday, but you’re invited to the Fosston Arts Center at 5pm for a taste of the Prohibition era.
“Peddler’ Cure-Alls to Secret Liquor Halls” is a free event. Again, doors open at 5 and the presentation starts at 6 at the Fosston Arts Center.
