Fosston Health Care Update 

The City of Fosston and Essentia Health have been in an ongoing dispute over the management of the Fosston Hospital, and the City of Fosston has been hard at work to make sure the city is prepared for a ruling. Earlier this year the city established the First Care Task Force made up of community members and experts to oversee this potential transfer. Fosston City Administrator Cassie Heide says the City Council recently appointed new members to the task force. 

Earlier this month the city alongside the task force announced the hiring of Callen Weispfennig as Healthcare Administrator, and Heide explained what this means as there has been some confusion surrounding the hiring. 

A ruling from the arbitration board is expected to be released in the coming weeks. R&J News will continue to provide updates on the dispute as more information is released.
