Voters in the Fosston School District have decided on the makeup of their next school board, re-electing two familiar faces and welcoming one newcomer to the table.

Incumbents Crystal Munter and Jacob Vossler successfully retained their seats, securing 27.63% and 27.23% of the vote, respectively. Joining them as the sole newly elected member is Robert “Bo” Buehler, who captured 26.81% of the ballots.

Buehler brings direct classroom experience to his new governance role, having spent the last three years working in the district. Following the election results, Buehler shared what motivated him to step up and run for a seat on the board.

While stepping into a leadership role will bring a fresh dynamic, Buehler noted that he is eager to collaborate with the established board members, administration, and faculty to support the district’s students.

With the election certified, Buehler, Munter, and Vossler are set to begin their upcoming terms guiding the district.
