Fosston Youth Track & Field League Begins Monday
Fosston, MN — There’s golf leagues, bowling leagues, basketball leagues, and dart leagues, but for area families there is now track and field league coming to Fosston starting this coming Monday, August 1st. Last year’s Youth Track and Field Night has now developed into a four-night league where area elementary students can run and jump and have fun each Monday during the month of August, according to organizer Jacob Vossler.
All youth from kindergarten through sixth grade are welcome to compete in a handful of different track and field activities, and Vossler notes there is even opportunities for the parents to get involved as well.
The track meets will get underway each Monday at 6:30pm at the Fosston Track. Vossler says they chose the month of August to hold the league because most families are a little less busy during that time.
A free will supper will be served before each track and field league night as well. Participation ribbons will be provided to all competing children and each event will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for each age group.
