Free safeTALK trainings being offered across Northwest Minnesota
The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is teaming up with Eyes on the Horizon to offer free safeTALK trainers to residents across Northwest Minnesota. safeTALK Trainer Monica McConkey tells us more about safeTALK and its purpose.
McConkey says the Northwest Minnesota Foundation wanted to team up with Eyes on the Horizon due to an increased need in suicide prevention services in rural Minnesota.
The first of these safeTALK trainings is being held in Clearbrook today, but McConkey says there will be seven more trainings held across Northwest Minnesota over the next few months.
Dinally McConkey encourages you to be vigilant of the signs of suicide in others, and to do somthing if a situation arises.
