Frigid weather likely to impact insect population
R&J Ag Reporter Nick Revier was at the Fargo Sugarbeet Growers Seminar on Tuesday and had the chance to catch up with presenter Dr Mark Boetel of the NDSU School of Natural Resource Sciences Department. Dr Boetel gives an overview of his presentation that was centered around insect management.
Dr Boetel also explains what type of fields will be most at risk of Spring Tail in 2025.
This year’s winter has seen some frigid temperatures, and Boetel says that it will likely have an impact on the insect population.
