East Grand Forks City Council Votes to Ban Sale of Marijuana
After being made legal by the Minnesota State Legislature earlier this year the East Grand Forks City Council voted unanimously to ban the sale of cannabis within the East Grand Forks city limits starting on August 1.
Concerns about the proximity between cannabis retailers and schools was one of the concerns brought up by East Grand Forks City Attorney Ron Galstad. The City of East Grand Forks can legally impose a moratorium on this new legislation for up to two years.
